day 1: Arrival at Naples Airport, join your driver and transfer to the Sorrento Peninsula.

day 2: Free day to explore Sorrento, this historic town immortalized in song by artists, poets and travellers from every period of history. Within the old town walls you will enjoy the colourful life of its typical narrow streets, where each alley and building has a story to show and tell and where there is the ever present fragrance of lemon trees.

day 3: Private transfer to Sorrento port. Once in Capri, there is the chance to book on site (weather permitting) a visit to the spectacular cave, the Blue Grotto. Transfer to Anacapri by minibus and visit the Villa San Michele, once the home of the Swedish doctor Axel Munthe. Transfer to Capri and free time for lunch. In the afternoon visit the Gardens of Augustus with their fascinating view over the Faraglioni rocks, the symbol of the island. Free time for relaxation or shopping around the “Piazzetta.” Return to Sorrento.

day 4: Transfer to Pompeii for a morning visit of the world-famous excavations. An unforgettable chance to step back in time 2,000 years to relive the splendours of life in the heyday of the Roman Empire whilst admiring the most important sites: the Roman Forum and Basilica, the temples, villas and shops – all destroyed during the 79 AD eruption of Vesuvius. Return to Sorrento and spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

day 5: Depart by private transport to enjoy the divine Amalfi Coast, incomparable for its natural beauty. The first stop is in Positano, a gem of the coast and the inspiration over the centuries for poets and artists from all over the world, and there is free time to visit the little village. On to Amalfi, an ancient sea republic. Free time to visit the town and admire the beautiful cathedral dedicated to St Andrew. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon we visit Ravello and its Villa Rufolo. It was from the gardens of this villa that Richard Wagner found the inspiration for his opera “Parsifal.” Return to Sorrento.

day 6: Transfer to Naples by private car and guide for a whole day dedicated to the “Bella Napoli,” a city rich in tradition, art, museums and galleries. Panoramic tour mainly by car to take in the most beautiful and famous sights including: Castel dell’Ovo, Maschio Angioino, Umberto Gallery, San Carlo Opera House, the Royal Palace, Posillipo, Margellina harbour and its beautiful promenade. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, guided visit of the National Archaeological Museum where bronze and marble statues, pictures and innumerable other objects recovered from Pompeii, Herculaneum, Cuma etc can be seen. Return to Sorrento. 

day 7: Free day

day 8: Depart by car and driver to Naples Airport in time for your return flight.
